X Bar Chocolate Bar

I’m just giving this one a quick run through as I’ve got some top quality chocolate arriving this week.

The X Bar was another one that I bought when I was in Barbados this year, along with the Peter Paul Almond Joy, Chocolate Coated Pina Colada Caribbean Rum Truffles, Charles Hazelnut Chocolate Bar and the Tiki Gold. Overall I’m disappointed in what I’ve tried. But the X Bar is slightly different.

This one a touch like the Solen Jacky Wafer Chocolate Bar that I also bought in Barbados but was actually made in Turkey, but has so much more to offer.

The X Bar is a very chunky, meaty bar – very much like the Marathon bar but a touch more “wooden”. Perhaps that’s not the best way to describe it, but it is accurate. There is an awful lot going on in this chocolate bar that its quite difficult to place the flavours as well as being a complete mish-mash of textures. The peanuts are perhaps the most powerful flavour, and if you like peanut chocolate then you should really like this.

The X Bar is a bar for those that are in the middle of a hard day’s work and need a bit more energy to carry on. It’s certainly not a chocolate bar that you’ll consciously enjoy.
