This time I’ve gone for plain and un-fettered chocolate from William Curley after the Framboise Truffles and the Dark Chocolate Fruit & Nut Thins. But plain definitely doesn’t mean boring in this sense. The William Curley House 70% Dark Chocolate is beautiful creation: simple but smooth – how good chocolate should be.
You’ll notice the very small sections. This forces you to eat it more slowly and let each part melt fully in your mouth before you go for the next.
The chocolate is distinctly dark, but has that just amount of sweetness to make it a super -delightful experience. The aroma belies the gorgeous flavour as it smells a lot darker than it actually tastes – and this is no bad thing.
Now the price. This is where it gets a bit annoying. I know they’re handmade and everything. But they’re £3 for just 50gm where you can get some nice ones from Sainsbury’s for much less per gramme. It’s just down to you if you want to buy a heap load, or just try the odd one out first.
