Not only did all of the chocolates I ordered from the William Curley website arrive in a beautiful box, but these Framboise Truffles also can be found packaged in a wonderful gift box that would allow you to just give them to a loved one as they are. And why shouldn’t you? These little truffles are exceptional.
I always try and write down the first things that come to mind when reviewing chocolate, and in this instance I had the scene from a fairy pop into my head. In fact, come to think about it, it was Alice in Wonderland – and its very apt as you’ll be in a wonderland when you try these. The flavours are so delicate, the texture so soft and the aroma so lovely, soft and dusty.
When you try them you get a the sensation that you’re eating chocolaty rose petals as theirs just no resistance was you clasp your teeth around them, they’re just so soft its unreal.
The flavour is just as delightful as you’re met with a slight chocolaty flavour but a more prominent rasberry one as the truffle roles around your mouth – delightful in the extreme!
They’re so fantastic that I have no problems working through the entire box on a Sunday morning at 9:30 and I’m sure you’ll enjoy them at any day of the week and at any time – be it in the garden with a nice glass of bubbly or snugged down for the night with a hot cup of Rocco.
