This Milk Chocolate Praline Bar is one of many that I’ve tasted which have been made by the fantastic Tipyn Bach chocolate company. Other’s I’ve tried are Tipyn Bach White Chocolate Bar, absolutely amazing Dark Chocolate Bar With Cherries and Almonds, the Lemon & Lime Creams they made just for me and the dark chocolate with chilli. I just love their chocolate.
The thing is, this is no fan of theirs, but purely my issue, I’m not a big fan of praline. However, I’ve consulted my other half who is a big fan of milk chocolate and she loves it, which is more than can be said for the William Curley dark chocolate thins I asked to try earlier!
The aroma of the Tipyn Bach Milk Chocolate Praline Bar is very much of the hazelnut paste which makes of 36% of its ingredients. As you allow the chocolate to melt in your mouth it becomes covered with a soft velvety blanket of praline. I’ve left this one out the fridge for a while to see how it differs from when its been refrigerated and you can definitely tell the difference: the warmer one is much softer in flavour, whilst the colder piece has a much stronger taste. It just comes down to personal preference how you enjoy your milk chocolate.
Now, this bar is only £1.20, but you only get 45g of it. If you like your chocolate with a definite brown sugar flavour then I would say its excellent value. There may be more chocolate bars available than days in the year, but I’d definitely allocate this bar to one of the days.
Rating:
Taste: 67% – I’m not the biggest milk chocolate or praline fan, but this was actually very nice
Texture: 65% – soft and mellow, you can’t fault it
Price: 60% – more expensive than mass-produced chocolate, but that sort of chocolate doesn’t taste as good as Tipyn Bach chocolate!
Overall: 64%
