Brazilian Dark Chocolate With Peppermint

This Brazilian Dark Chocolate With Peppermint may not be up to the very high standards that their Coconut chocolate bar is, but it still is a fantastic bar to just while away half an hour with and you can buy it from your local Sainsbury’s store for just 96p.

The packaging in understated but it does clearly give you an idea of what you’re going to enjoy as well as as much nutritional and calorie information as you could possibly ever need. But what staggered me was this had as much (in terms of percentage) of saturated fat as the coconut bar – I best go back and get some more!

The aroma is distinctly peppermint and it reminded me of the After Eight Mints but thankfully the flavour was a lot more refined and mellow. There was none of this over-powering fake mint taste – it was a like a lazy walk in the woods – Delightful but not ultimately memorable.

I certainly would buy this again as it is something substantially different to other dark chocolate bars, but it still remains faithful to the ethos of slightly bitter chocolate from South America.

Rating:
Taste: 75% – nice and mellow
Texture: 70% – crunchy but a nice smooth feel as it melts
Price: 90% – at 96p it really is excellent value for money
OVerall: 78.33%

If this Brazilian Dark Chocolate With Peppermint Bar was a song it would be: Banko De Gaia – Tempra.
