I bought the Peter Paul Almond Joy milk chocolate bar from a small supermarket in Barbados and wasn’t really looking at them at the time. I came back with about 10/15 chocolate bars and just picked one of each type I found. I was a bit annoyed when I picked this one out to review as it was made by Hershey – and I generally don’t like their chocolate bars.
When I was over there I met some American ladies who were big fans of Hershey Bars and we spent a while on a dingy in the Caribbean Ocean talking about their products. We agreed to disagree!
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by the Peter Paul Almond Joy as you couldn’t really taste their variation of chocolate and the coconut taste was fairly strong although a bit too fibrous. You couldn’t really taste the almond either. It’s not the best chocolate bar I’d ever tasted!
It cost me BD$1.70 which works out to be around 57p and you could say it was 57p wasted. But at least I’ve tasted it and know what its like now.
If you did want to give the Peter Paul Almond Joy a go, you can buy it from:
