New Tree Lavender Milk Chocolate Tranquility Bar

I bought this New Tree Lavender Milk Chocolate bar at the same time as their ginger dark chocolate bar which was simply out of this world, and this one is just as good, but for different reasons.

To be honest, I’ve never tasted anything like it. I’ve got lavender in the garden as it has a fantastic aroma, but have never thought about eating it. The people at New Tree are a bit more adventurous and have used lavender extract along with lime blossom extract to make this hugely enjoyable and delightful milk chocolate bar.

The aroma doesn’t give any indication to the very distinctive taste and there is no doubt that you’ll be able to recognise the lavender flavour – I just hope you liked it as much as I do.

It looks like you can’t get them anymore from Sainsbury, but you can most of their chocolate bars from Real Food Direct for £2.75 or you can buy four bars for the exorbitant price of £21.95 from Gift Service!

Rating:
Taste: 85% – gorgeous, but I don’t think I could munch it continually. It’s best kept for the odd square here and there.
Texture: 70% – nothing immanently fantastic or special about it. But its all in the flavour
Price: 60% – if you can get it for the price I paid for it a few months a go then you’re onto a winner. But I wouldn’t pay more than £ a bar
Overall: 71.67%
