I was just clearing out the chocolate fridge to make way for a whole load of Christmas chocolates that are due to come my way soon to review and I thought that I should really review these things. After the box of 12 chocolates I reviewed earlier I thought I should review something relatively light. And light they are.
I wouldn’t say that these Morinaga Seika Choco Ball Ichigo‘s at chocolaty at all – there is a small bit inside. What you can tell, when you open up the packaging is the quite powerful strawberry aroma which is very appetising.
As is usually the way with Japanese snacks, the packaging is very functional with a pouring lip – just to make sure that you don’t give yourself too many in one go!
If you’re up for a little strawberry nibble, but want to try something different, perhaps you’re arranging a Japanese dinner party, then give them a go. They do taste nice, but nothing special. But for 93p a box then you can’t go wrong. You can get them from the Japan Centre.
