For those of you who are looking for luxury chocolate advent calendars the selection you can choose from is growing every year. It does seem, however, that most of the chocolate shops put out their luxury stock later than others, but so far I have found and can recommend the following:
The Hotel Chocolat Ultimate Dark Chocolate Advent Calendar. I’ve tried their dark chocolate on numerous occasions and do love it. Obviously their purest bars are fantastic, but these 70% dark chocolate figures are pretty damn good too. The whole box comes to 175g with 24 individual pieces. As these are more intense than their milk chocolate versions then perhaps save these for the evening with a glass of something fizzy?
If you wanted a luxury chocolate advent calendar that does it differently then check out Green & Blacksas they’ve got one made out of organic cotton instead of cardboard. This advent calendar has pockets instead of windows and within each there’s a different flavoured mini chocolate bar. The downside is that you’re more able to eat them all before you should and that you may just swap them around to put your favourite ones at the beginning – but that’s half the fun of having something as unusual as this. The downside is the price, however. At £34 it isn’t cheap. But you are getting something unique and probably a type of chocolate advent calendar that you wouldn’t find elsewhere on the market.
Montezuma’s also do a limited edition chocolate advent calendar that is suitable for Vegans and is organic too. And it’s a pretty weighty advent calendar too as it comes in at 300g and is made from their house blend. Montezuma’s may not be my favourite chocolate, but it is incredibly moreish. And if you wanted to introduce your children to how good organic and vegan chocolate can taste then there’s probably no better way to do that with a luxury chocolate advent calendar.
