I bought these Kshocolat Chilli Almonds from House Of Fraser a while back but they’re still in date so I thought I’d give them a go today as I’ve been on a bit of a chilli mission lately.
I must admit, for the price they’re exceptionally good value. Not only do you get a nice, shiny, attractive tin to keep them in, but you also get a very handy number of the chocolate-covered almonds.
When you first taste them you can’t notice the chilli flavour, but after a few seconds you’ll notice how chuffing hot they are! Fook me (sorry Mum) they’re v hot, not as hot as the Pleasure & Pain VERY HOT Naga Jolokia Chilli Dark Chocolate, but still more than the Vegan Handmade Chilli Chocolate.
One thing you’ll notice is that you do get a fair amount of chocolate on the almonds, they’re certainly not stingy with it and get the balance between the almond taste and texture with the chocolate and the chilli about spot on. I’d certainly recommend these if you like something different and you’re partial to some chilli nuts.
