And we knew this would happen. It appears that Kraft have started negotiations to cut 600 British jobs with the news that they plan to close their Kraft UK head office in Cheltnam and integrate some people into various different Cadbury offices around the country. It also looks like some of the customer service jobs in Sheffield and Banbury could be lost – which could total another 150.
So it looks like the total (expected) job losses will exceed 1,000 after the announcement in February that it would close the Cadbury facility near Bristol.
One good note is that it looks like the Bournville site will be come the ‘centre of excellence’ for chocolate makeing and R&D.
