James’ White Chocolate With Strawberry & Black Pepper
29 September 2009 in James Chocolates, Rating 80%-84%, Strawberry, White Chocolate by LeeHaving loved their Raspberry & Mint Milk Chocolate bar (and I’ve just finished it off) I thought I’d give the James White Chocolate With Strawberry & Black Pepper a go and see what I think.
Again they’re in the same packaging with just a different sticker on it to detail the flavour. I can’t see anything wrong with this actually as it helps keep costs down.
I just love fruit flavoured white chocolate like the Hotel Chocolat Puddles as the sharpness and acidity of the fruit works exceptionally well with the mellow white chocolate. This chocolate bar will zing around your mouth as you chew it, you’ll get crispy bits of the black pepper fly in the other direction and you’ll love it. You may think that black pepper won’t go with the strawberry or the white chocolate. You’d be right, of course, if there was any great amount of it in the bar. However, there is only a minimal amount of the black pepper which is in just the right balance to make this a fantastic chocolate bar and probably an exceptional one for kids and adults alike.
I think this James’ White Chocolate With Strawberry & Black Pepper bar is a great buy at just £1.80!!
Rating:
Taste: 90% – I know, I must be mad, 90% for white chocolate. But I really did love it and I’m pulling myself away from it as I know I’ll just finish it all off!
Texture: 90% – I loved the soft delicate white chocolate but also the crunchy bits of the strawberry with it
Appearance: 75% – nice and simple. Overdoing the packaging would be a waste and pretentious. This is a great bar of fun chocolate.
Nutritional Information: 65% – there’s enough there for most people’s needs.
Price: 80% – a great price for some zingy white chocolate.
Overall: 80% – you’ve got to try it!
