Hotel Chocolat The Chocolatier’s Table
13 May 2009 in Hotel Chocolat, Rating 85%-89%, Selection Boxes by LeeWhat can you say about The Chocolatier’s Table from Hotel Chocolate? It’s an immense box of chocolates with a massive variety of chocolates that you just can’t help but be impressed by.
When you open up the box you get an intoxicating whiff of chocolate and the fillings that will just satisfy your every craving. I can’t go through them all now as I’d have a serious overdose, but I’ll pick a few out. One thing you’ll notice is that it may be a bit difficult to get each chocolate out, well it was for me as I’ve got fat fingers.
The second I tasted was the Kirch Truffle (I forgot to take pictures of the Fruit and Nut Oblivion) amd this was a very powerful beast as you could definitely taste the alcohol in it – nearly as much as their Pink Champagne Truffles. I’d certainly recommend that one!
The next is the citrus crunch – this is a nice light lemony/organgy chocolate with little crunchy bits in – I’ve not tasted anything like this before and is much better than any Cadbury Roses chocolate you you’ll leave at the bottom of the tin.
The Blackcurrant and Champagne one assaulted my taste buds, it was that sharp! Tread carefully with this one.
And the lemon cheesecake one I’m going to have to see if I can get a box of just these! They’re amazing!! Absolutely delicious and I want more!
There’s also kirch soaked cherries, whole macadamia nuts panned in milk chocolate, a mini rocky road, various milk oblivion chocolates, pralines, fruity ones, dark chocolates, truffles (yum), canapes and batons! This is chocolate heaven!
I’m finishing off with the espresso ganache now – definitely tastes of espresso with a nice kick. Another absolutely devine chocolate!
Rating:
Taste 95% – there’s just so many original and gorgeous chocolates there
Texture: 90% – a lot to love, crunchy ones, fruits, truffles, ganaches – you can’t go wrong
Price: 70% – at £49 it is a fair amount of money. But as a birthday, valentines or anniversary gift, its a great present.
Overall: 85% – love it
If the Hotel Chocolat The Chocolatier’s Table was a song it would be: “Heaven” – Bryan Adams!
