The packaging isn’t all that inspiring, but I can gloss over that part. When I actually opened up the packet I got a fairly strong muddy aroma which wasn’t all that appealing and when I went to taste it I found the chocolate very mild and the peppermint filling fairly over-powering (but not as bad as After Eight Mints). Overall, if I were you I’d jump straight to the Tate The Difference Brazillian Dark Chocolate With Peppermint bar which is far superior, but it doesn’t have sucrose-free chocolate as far as I’m aware.
Rating:
Taste: 40% – nothing special, muddy taste and aroma
Texture: 30% – I found the filling way too sticky for my liking
Price: 50% – at £1.66 its not bad for a chocolate bar, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
Overall: 40%
If this Holex Sucrose-Free Chocolate, Peppermint Filled Bar was a song it would be: “The One And Only” – Chesney Hawkes – an acquired taste!
