Fudge Kitchen Boozy Fruit & Nut Fudge

During my trip to the Fudge Kitchen in Bath I picked up four slabs of fudge and some toffee fudge sauce and it’s been a manic week since then and I’ve only just found time to review one of the slabs. I was told they last up to three weeks wrapped or two years in the freezer – so I should be fine.

As I loved their Double Trouble Chocolate Fudge and the Beligan Chocolate Swirl was pretty damn good too, I thought I’d like this one just as much. The problem is that it’d be very unlikely that I, or anyone, would like all of their fudge to the same degree.

After having a month off of their fudge the first mouthful was divine. The texture and sensation is just as exquisite as before. However, Fruit and Nut with Rum is going to be sweet – especially as it’s all housed in fudge. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work that out. But I’m still nibbling on it, I must stop myself!

That’s the problem with eating this fudge, you know it’s incredibly sweet, perhaps too sweet as all the other tastes (except for the nuts) adds to the sweet piquancy; but you still find yourself going for more.
