I’m a huge Fox’s fan and after my recent fudge experiences with the Double Chocolate and Belgian Swirl Fudge I couldn’t resist these Fox’s Chocolate Fudge Crunch Biscuits. But this may be a useless review as I can’t remember where I bought them from, or for how much. I’m guessing Asda and 49p.
During the process of reviewing fudge flavoured biscuits I realised that I’m not actually all that keen on that taste. I think it was the Little Debbie’s Fudge Rounds that put me off, but its not until I tried these Fox’s fudge biscuits that I’ve started to accept the taste.
I love biscuits and I love Fox’s biscuits – so they’re on to a winner straight away. The other night I munched though half the packet (about 650 calories) whilst watching Celebrity Big Brother as they work exceptionally well with a hot cuppa and something distracting on TV.
I’d say these are too sweet for a Sunday morning biscuit dunking session – I think you have to go for Rich Tea or Cookies for that, but they’re good for a post work pick-me-up.
The flavour is intense, with a prominent fudge character and the biscuit is very crunchy but works well with the creamy filling so its not too dry.
These Fudge Crunch biscuits may not be my favourite as I prefer their Chocolate Viennese, their Chunkie Cookies, melts, crunch cremes and you can keep your Malted Milk Creams. However, I’ve just found that they do Whipped Cream and strawberry biscuits as well as a Lemon variety – so I may have to give them a go.
I’m just going to do a quick review, as its not proper chocolate and give them a score of 62%.
