Divine White Chocolate Bar
28 March 2009 in Divine Chocolate, Rating 70%-74%, White Chocolate by Lee
I must say that before I tried this Divine White Chocolate Bar I wasn’t wholly convinced by white chocolate. Its just that if you put white, dark and milk chocolate together I’ll almost always go for the dark. But seeing as the nice people at Ethical Superstore sent me this bar (with some others) I thought I’d review it.
First off, packaging is superb, you really want to tuck in straight away. And when you unravel it you get a significant waft of the sugary white chocolate aroma that is so distinct.
When you first take a mouth full you’ll be hit with the rich flavour that is just so smooth, it is unberlievable. Next comes the texture, it is amazingly smooth, balanced and creamy. If you’re a white chocolate lover, you won’t be disappointed.
What was a bit of a shock, however, is the amount of calories in the Divine White Chocolate Bar – a staggering 243 in the bar alone. It’s also 30.2g fat so don’t over-dose on them if I were you, even if you can buy them in bulk loads of 30 bars at a time for £16.95. However, you can buy them individually for 75p.
Rating:
Taste: Beautiful – 70%
Texture: Creamy – 80%
Price: A fair bit for what it is – 65%
Overall: 72%
