I got this Divine Hazelnut Milk Chocolate Bar from Ethical Superstore as part of their Divine Extravagance Kit and although I’ve been a fan of the other chocolate products in there such as the Whole Brazil Nuts Covered in Dark Chocolate, I wasn’t a big fan of this.
The packaging reflects that you’re going to enjoy some milk chocolate and I’m sure it would at least make me consider buying it if I saw it on the shelves, however, I was disappointed when I actually got round to eating it.
I found it overly salty, perhaps that was just me as there’s only 3% sodium in the chocolate according to the nutritional information. In the whole bar there’s 548 kcal but I doubt you’ll make your way through the whole bar.
Apart from the salty taste, there’s only just a slight hazelnut flavour. So if you’re a big hazelnut fan then I expect you may be disappointed with this one as the taste and the texture just reminded me of cheap peanut butter.
Rating:
Taste: 40% – I really didn’t like it.
Texture: 50% – nothing great, but didn’t put me off.
Price: 70% – at £1.49 a bar its not going to break the bank.
Overall: 53.3% – I’m sure I’ll find some better hazelnut chocolate, and you should too.
