I got these Divine Chocolate Covered Apricots as part of the Divine Extravagance Kit from Ethical Superstore and have steadily worked my way through them. Some of them didn’t even make it to the blog as I was just too keen to tuck in.
At first I was in two minds, I love dried apricots, I love dark chocolate, but would I love the two together? Well its taken me a bit of time to get into it, but I can safely say I’m converted.
There must have been a good 20 in the box which cost £3.95 so I don’t feel that being a premium brand I was diddled. I’ve always loved Divine chocolate and especially the dark chocolate which has a minimum cocoa content of 70%, and the slightly bitter taste of the chocolate combined with the sharp taste and gritty texture of the apricots works superbly well.
These chocolate covered apricots would go down well on a Friday night in watching a film with a glass of wine or even after a summer’s barbecue cooled in a bowl of ice. There are so many different ways you could eat these. You could even shred them and serve them with natural yoghurt. That’s the beauty of them, just use or imagination.
