Dammenberg No Added Sugar Mint Dark Chocolate Buttons

I bought these nut-free, sugar-free, gluten free, diabetic chocolate buttons on a whim from The Chocolate Connoisseur and I’m struggling not to eat them all as I really should save some for my mother who is diabetic as they’re just that nice.

Often with mint chocolate it’ll be very over-powering and too minty. With these Dammenberg Mint Dark Chocolate Buttons they’re nice an mild and obviously without the sugary taste that you can often get with 54% chocolate.

I was surprised when I poured the contents out and saw that there were a good number of them to munch on and they just looked so appetising. The flavour is mild and the aroma is strong enough to entice you in – and that I certainly did.

The price may be a touch more than I’d normally be willing to pay if I didn’t know how gentle and moorish they were. But on reflection, if I saw them in the highstreet, I’d probably go for them again.

Rating:
Taste: 65% – very nice, but perhaps a bit more “zing” would be nice
Texture: 65% – nice and brittle
Price: 60% – I’m feeling tight today. It could be a few pence cheaper :-(
Overall: 63.33%
