I’m immensely disappointed. I’ve gone through my entire life thinking that I hate coconut. But during my recent trip to Sainsbury’s I thought I’d try this limited edition coconut chocolate bar and I’m glad I did. Thinking about it, I must have been tainted by an early childhood experience with a Bounty Bar or something as I find them incredibly gritty. This however, was absolutely delightful!
The packaging may not be as enticing as some, the big red segments that basically say “this is really bad for you” do stand out. But most will recognise that you’re not buying an apple or a “healthy options” sandwich – you’re buying a few moments of indulgence. And, to my mind, its money very well spent. And when you realise that its only 96p you’ll be heading out to your local Sainsbury store quick-smartish.
When I unwrapped it I was wondering why there was a bit of cardboard attached to it. But the reason is that this chocolate is incredibly delicate. It’s incredibly milky and creamy. It just falls a part in your hands – which adds to the sense of fun.
But its the taste that is so out of this world, it is unreal. I implore you to go and buy some – even if you think you don’t like coconut. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
