Chokolit Biting Back Bar

I’m not traditionally a white chocolate lover, but I do absolutely adore lemon flavoured sweets, ice creams, or any thing – so I was willing to give it a try. I got this bar of white lemon chocolate from Sainsbury’s for just £1.94 and I’m trying not to eat it all before I get to the bottom of this review.

I must admit the packaging is delightful and really did jump out at me when I was looking at the selection they had to offer as I’m almost bored of seeing all the Green & Blacks in every store.

When I opened the packet, the aroma didn’t entice me in to try more, it sort of gave me a nudge and said “try me” but it wasn’t all that convincing. The flavour was quite strange too. It was very much like a traditional white chocolate bar until the after taste came in as a nice, mild lemon taste. Each subsequent mouthful built on that lemon flavour until it became quite strong – but nicely so.

Would I buy it again? Well there’s just so much chocolate out there to try and I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again, but its certainly not one I’d dismiss out of hand.

Rating:
Taste: 60% – nice and mild, but not exciting
Texture: 55% – I wasn’t sure if it was my tongue, but it wasn’t all that smooth
Price: 65% – at £1.94 it wasn’t bad, but it was just border-line good value for money
Overall: 60%

These bars are also helping endangered species so even if you only try it once you will be helping these animals before it is too late. Look on the back of the packet to find out more and see what each bar can do!
