Chocolate Footballs
3 September 2009 in Chocolates For Kids by LeeI can’t always review top quality chocolate as that would get a bit boring wouldn’t allow me to appreciate it as much! I bought these chocolate footballs a while a go but never got around to reviewing them. My view was that I’ll see how good they are for parents that wanted to buy them for their little boy’s or girl’s birthday and I was actually surprised at their quality.
You can buy a quarter kilo from A Quarter Of for £3.20 and with that you’ll get around 54 balls that are around 1cm in diameter which works out at about 6p each. The Chocolate Trading Company also do 150 which are 2cm in diameter for £22.99.
They’re the typical milk chocolate without excessive regard to the quality of the chocolate. I’m not saying its poor quality stuff, just that its not intended to be Grand Cru or anything like that.
I’m trying to work out what you could do with them. With the foil on it may not be a good idea to decorate a cake with them, but I’m sure you’ll come up with some good ideas.
Overall, I do think they’re good value for money and should be considered if you’re a parent looking for a novel chocolate gift for kids.
Also try:
* Milk Chocolate Footballs – 90g – Thorntons – 99p.
* Chewbz – Chocolate Footballs – Quite Big from Prezzybox – £19.95
