Food that is organically grown refers to an agricultural system that includes proper maintaining and refurbishing of fertile soil and healthy, naturally grown plants. No chemicals are used in the fertilizers or pesticides that are used in the growing or harvesting process. In addition, no artificial ingredients or preservatives are added to the product. Organic chocolate is produced with a minimum of 95% natural materials. With the recent growing trend in organically grown and manufactured chocolate candies, many mainstream producers of chocolate have introduced organic lines of chocolate bars and candies. Some of the well-known names include Blanxart, Dagoba, and Valrhona.

Oialla Organic Wild Chocolate from Beni, Bolivia

This 70% dark chocolate bar made with wild Bolivian cacao, but not from Felchlin, is very soft, mild and fragrant. But that shouldn't deter those who love aggressive chocolate from trying it.

Kakaw 70% With Chilli

If you're after a dark bar with chilli that offers something different, and you find yourself in Belize, then this one from Kakaw could be for you!

Montezuma’s Vegan and Organic Chocolate Selection

It's difficult to review vegan chocolates when you're not vegan. I love creamy truffles and that was never going to happen with these ones from Montezuma's. That being said, they were still very pleasant, although a touch flat.

The Grenada Chocolate Company Nib-a-licious 60%

This has a strange banana and mango flavour that is quite strange - but very enjoyable. The nibs, of course, give a lovely variable texture. I'd definitely say this is a must try bar.

Åkesson’s 75% Criollo Madagascar

This bar offers a sweet and sour experience with the balance of saltiness and red fruits. Although it's not perfect, it still does offer an immensely enjoyable experience.

Raw Chocolate Easter Eggs from Rawr

If you're looking for an Easter gift and the person you're buying for just has to have organic or natural chocolate, then there really isn't anywhere else to visit this year - well from what I've reviewed anyway!

Zotter Plum Brandy

Often I'm just perplexed by the flavours that Zotter create, but this one works, and works very well indeed. If you like alcoholic chocolate this one should give you the hit you crave.

Buffalo Milk Chocolate

There's nothing powerful or acute with this milk chocolate bar made with buffalo's milk but Artisan du Chocolate have done a great job creating something different.

Duffy’s Heart Of Panama 70% Dark Chocolate

This bar may be out of stock now, but its worth seeing if you can get hold of any of his other dark chocolate to try. I've never found a bar yet that I haven't enjoyed.

This Czekolada Waniliowo-Mleczna dark chocolate bar made in Poland from Forestero cocoa beans from Ecuador offers an intriguing experience.

This is a fantastic bar of chocolate with a strong chilli flavour with underlying coffee flavours.

Zotter Sheep’s Milk and Honey Nut Milk Chocolate

This Zotter Sheep Milk and Honey Nut Milk Chocolate Bar is another in their crazy range of chocolate bars. Well worth trying as its not as crazy as their others.

Go*Do Organic Espresso 60% Dark Chocolate

This Go*Do Organic 60% Dark Chocolate is brittle and dry, but it has a nice, well rounded flavour that doesn't dissapoint.

The Grenada 60% Single Origin Dark Chocolate Bar

This bar wasn't anywhere as good as I thought it'd be. In fact it was relatively poor compared to other dark chocolate bars in that price range.

Zotter Peanuts and Ketchup Dark Chocolate

I definitely wouldn't seek this Zotter Peanuts and Ketchup Dark Chocolate out in the future. It was just too strange for me!

Mast Brothers 81% Dark Chocolate With Almonds, Sea Salt and Olive Oil

This Mast Brothers 81% Dark Chocolate With Almonds, Sea Salt and Olive Oil is a weird experience. It's not for those that don't like trying something new.

Zotter Dark Chocolate With Cheese, Walnuts & Raisins

This Zotter With Cheese, Walnuts & Raisins Dark Chocolate could be one of the strangest chocolate bars you will ever experienc.

Chocolate & Love Organic Dark Chocolate With Coffee Bar – ‘The Coffee Affair’

The Chocolate & Love Organic Dark Chocolate With Coffee Bar was nice, but not as nice as the L'artisan du Chocolate Espresso bar.

Booja Booja Champagne Truffles

The Booja Booja Champagne Truffles are fabulous, if a bit pricey. You do get a fantastic paper-mache shell which will last so its worth the money.

Organic White & Fruity Chocolate Love Heart

The Organic White and Fruity Chocolate Love Heart wasn't my most favourite white chocolate creation that I've ever tasted. But Ethical Superstore do have some great chocolates in store.

Askinosie San Jose Del Tambo Dark Chocolate Nibble Bar

Now I’ve seen elsewhere on the internet that this bar for $8 when I paid £7.95 for it in Selfridges and I’ve still got a nose bleed from spending that much. The thing is, if I’m spending that much money on 85g of chocolate I expect the chocolate bar to have sexual properties. I’m...

Seeds of Change Organic Apricot & Cashew Bar

Actually very good for a chocolate bar that you can easily find in a supermarket, what's more, its ethical too!

Mandarin & Ginger Fairtrade Chocolate Bar

The Mandarin & Ginger Fairtrade Chocolate Bar from the Organic Seed and Bean Company was a very nice chocolate bar indeed and well worth a try.

Thorntons Organic Truffle Collection

I wasn't the biggest fan of the Thorntons Organic Truffle Collection, it was very poor compared to what I expected.

Chocoholly Organic Milk Chocolate Infused with Cardamom

This is most certainly an interesting milk chocolate bar, not my favourite of all time, but at least it does offer some good flavours.

Organic And Raw Dark Chocolate Bar From Conscious

The Organic And Raw Dark Chocolate Bar is a great introduction to raw chocolate. It does taste better than you're probably thinking.

Biona Organic Praline Chocolate Filled With Nougat Of Hazelnuts

The Biona Organic Praline & Nougat Chocolate bar was terrible - it should be avoided as you'll wish you hadn't bothered.

Organica Vegan Hazelnut Nougat & Dark Chocolate Bar

The Organica Vegan Hazelnut Nougat & Dark Chocolate Bar was ok, the flavours were nice but I wouldn't put this as anywhere near my favourites.

Montezuma's Organic Milk Chocolate & Nutmeg Bar

Montezuma's Organic Milk Chocolate and Nutmeg Bar was just a little better than average. There was no wow factor though.
