Michel Cluizel Noir Au Grue de Cacao

Michel Cluizel has produced a delightful and relaxed bar of chocolate that can easily be enjoyed by the masses. There's no fine, complex flavours just a strange combination of distinctive ones.

Thorntons Chocolate Liqueur

It may be a bit rich for many people, but if you'd appreciate a chocolate alcoholic tipple then I think this should be the one to try!

Limited Edition: Oriente Cuba Terruño de Baracoa

Certainly an interesting bar from Marcolini. It had a lovely cherry flavour but didn't give me the wow factor I was hoping for. It most definitely interesting, but didn't give any sense of complexity I love in fine chocolate.

South Devon Chilli Farm Bhut Jolokia Dark Chocolate

I received two slabs of dark chocolate made with Bhut Jolokia chilies as a batch #1 sample from the South Devon Chilli Farm. I expected it to make me feel ill like the Scorchio bar did, but thankfully it was so much more flavoursome and less faux. I can't wait for this bar to be launched properly.

The World’s Hottest Chocolate Bar

www.chocolatereviews.co.ukI like to try strange chocolate, but nothing will ever make me want to try this bar of chilli chocolate ever again. The heat is ok, but not how it made me feel afterwards! But if you want to buy your loved one something to knock their socks off then you really must give this bar a go!

Paul A. Young Sea Salted Caramel Pecan Brownie

Perhaps not my favourite chocolate brownie Paul A. Young has ever made, but I'm open to have my mind changed by others. Have you tried it?

The Grenada Chocolate Company Nib-a-licious 60%

This has a strange banana and mango flavour that is quite strange - but very enjoyable. The nibs, of course, give a lovely variable texture. I'd definitely say this is a must try bar.

Sunshine and Butterflies Limited Edition Selection Box

I wonderful alternative to the high street selection boxes. These are definitely worth trying - not only because they taste great, but also because you're helping the little guys.

Lucky’s Online Hunny Bunny Luxury Cakes

Why can't all chocolate cake experiences be like this? If only you could marry someone that's able to put these flavours together, package them up and give you a weekly treat? Well, because life isn't fair. If you do get the chance, get yourself some!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

If you are looking for the best chocolate Father's Day gifts then you shouldn't really look any further than these chocolate covered strawberries. I know they're not cheap, but they're worth every penny!

Gnosis Handmade Raw Vegan Chocolate – Sacred Feminine

Whether or not this dark chocolate bar does actually alleviate the symptoms of the menstral cycle, I don't know, but I do know that I actually liked it.

Butlers Chocolates Dark Chocolate Mint Crunch

The fresh flavour of mint chocolate is my favourite and this Butlers Chocolates Dark Chocolate Mint Crunch was actually very pleasant.

Zokoko Alto Beni 68% Dark Chocolate

This is a truly wonderful bar of chocolate from Zokoko who are chocolate makers in Australia.

Gü Chocolate Ganache After Noon Pots

Forget the calories and dive in. You only live once so why don't you just spend it doing stuff you love? Start here and you never know what you'll end up doing!

Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pop Tarts

I don't know why I spent £5.99 on these. I can think of much better things to spend my money on ..... probably ANYTHING!!!

Charbonnel et Walker Dark Marc de Champagne Dark Chocolate Truffles

They're all-right I suppose, just nothing fantastic. They were supposed to be dark chocolate, but there was no bitterness about them. Sigh.

Artisan du Chocolat Orchid & Orange Blossom Dark Chocolate

Although it didn't knock my socks off, it still was a very pleasant bar that I'd happily enjoy again. The flavours are subtle but you can't have robust chocolate all of the time.

Bouga Cacao 77% Hacienda Chocolate Grand Cru

I had hoped for more from this Bouga Cacao bar, but at least it had a very interesting rustic nature that you don't often I get to try all that often. It was also slightly spoiled in transit so just be aware of that.

Amano Morobe 70% Dark Chocolate Bar

This Amano Morobe 70% dark chocolate bar is a marvel of chocolate making. How Art manages to get so much flavour out of the bean is remarkable. If you are in a position to buy some, you most definitely should.

Gü After Dark Hot Chocolate Soufflés

A lovely light treat, but for me its just not chocolaty enough. But I suppose that it be a shame if everything was as gorgeously sweet as their melt in the middle puds.

Idilio Origins 74% Porcelana

I really don't know how people are going to get their hands on this bar. But try you must. Pack your bags, leave a note and head off to the continent. Your journey will be rewarded with some delightful chocolate.

Demarquette Selection Box

This has to be one of the best chocolate selection boxes I've tried - its most awesome.

Åkesson’s 75% Criollo Madagascar

This bar offers a sweet and sour experience with the balance of saltiness and red fruits. Although it's not perfect, it still does offer an immensely enjoyable experience.

Galaxy Bites

This is what I call convenience chocolate treats. But the most important thing is they're damn light too and not extremely sweet.

Hershey’s Whatchamacallit

If you were expecting a fine dining experience in the world of chocolate then you'd be very disappointed. At least its not a terrible bar of chocolate, like I find so many of their other bars are.

Madécasse 44% Milk Chocolate

Madécasse are a truly inspiring company in terms of their ethics, as well as the quality of their chocolate. If you can try some then I would, but also make sure you try some of their dark bars to compare.

Cioccolatini All’Olio D’Oliva by Nudo Italia

If you're wanting some robust olive oil chocolates then you'll have to look elsewhere. There's nothing powerful or archetypal Italian here, they're very subdued to say the least.

Pralus Cuba 75% Dark Chocolate

I was hoping for so much more from Pralus with this 75% bar made with Cuban cacao. But alas it was very muted and left me wanting more acidity. If you are looking for a mild dark chocolate bar with less cocoa butter then try this one.

Duffy’s Panama Tierra Oscura Panama 72%

This bar has to be one of the best that I've tried in a long while if you're looking for a smooth, rustic experience. The aroma and flavour are disjointed, but that's half the fun.

Pierre Marcolini 85% Dark Chocolate From Peru

This is my first bar I've tried from Pierre Marcolini and comes from the Alto Piura region of northern Peru. The aroma was sensational whilst the flavour had decent honey notes but was a touch dry.

Choccy Munchy Seeds

If you're having trouble snacking on chocolate that you know you just shouldn't eat then give these Choccy Munchy Seeds a go as they're packed full of nutrients and taste very good too. You can also find them in a variety of superstores and local health food shops.

Chocolate Kirsch Cherries From Montezuma’s

I just loved these chocolate-coated kirsch cherries. Montezuma's have created a delightful fruity chocolate treat for hot summer days. If you get the chance, go to the park with some Champagne or other tipple, and a box, or two, full of these and just while a couple of hours reading a good book or just watching the world go by!

Zotter Ginger Dark Chocolate Bar

This has to be my favourite of the flavoured Zotter bars that I've reviewed. The Grappa certainly adds a wonderful base flavour whilst the ginger excites your taste buds. If its still in stock anywhere you should try some.

Feeding Your Imagination Beautiful White Chocolate

I very much enjoyed this white chocolate from Feeding Your Imagination. It was a nice break from the other types of chocolate.

chocoMe Bespoke Dark Chocolate Bar with Rose, Cherry, Strawberry and Cinnamon

This bespoke dark chocolate bar from chocoMe had Rose, Cherry, Strawberry and Cinnamon on top and was actually pretty nice. The only problem is that it comes from Hungary and it might not be so easy to get hold of in the UK.

Zotter Balleros Pineapple in Coconut and Pineapple

A very quick review of the Zotter Balleros left me thanking myself that I didn't have any more than I did.

Potomac Chocolate Upala 82% Dark Bar

This is most certainly a bar for chocolate lovers that prefer powerful, dark chocolate with a thick melt. I loved its powerfulness and character. Give it a go if you can.

Vosges Naga Bar

If you like chocolate that has a strange, warm and interesting flavour then I think this will probably be the one for many of you. For me, it was good, but could have been better.

Zotter Labooko Bittersweet Chocolate From India

If you're after something a little bit different then give this Zotter Labooko bar a go. It's made by Zotter and is wonderful. It's a pretty rare bar of chocolate so you'll have to have a keen eye to find it.

Pierre Marcolini Mini Easter Eggs

I just adored the almond praline in this selection of Pierre Marcolini chocolate mini eggs. If you get the chance to try some, you should.

Laurent Gerbaud Yuzu 75% Dark Chocolate Bar

I love citrus flavoured chocolate, but this Yuzu bar from Laurent Gerbaud had the right tone in terms of flavour, and a delightful creaminess, but the melt was far to short.

Parisian Creams from The Arran Chocolate Factory

If you like very sweet chocolate then this really is going to be your thing. They were far too sweet for me however.

Jaxx Mouthy Crunchie Chocolate Treats

So I don't normally review mass-market stuff aimed at kids, well only occasionally, but I actually liked these.

Coppeneur Trinidad 72% Chilli and Lavender

If you wanted to try a Coppeneur dark chocolate bar then this Trinidad 72% Chilli and Lavender is very good, not exceptional, but definitely worth considering if you like chilli chocolate. There's not a great deal of heat, so it would suit most chocolate lovers.

Cadbury’s Koko Easter Egg

It's a crying shame that the're still a market for milk chocolate that only has a minimum of 20% cacao solids and has a fair amount of vegetable oil in. But it must be Easter as we're bombarded with this sort of rubbish at this time of year.

Sue’s Chocolate Fudge

Ah, Sue's Chocolate Fudge. This stuff doesn't normally agree with me as its usually far too sweet. Although its obviously too sweet, it had a delightful rustic quality.

La Maison du Chocolat Praline Mini Eggs

I was convinced I had tried these mini eggs before and I had – last year when they came presented in a coffret (that’s “box” to you and me!). This time they’ve sent me a fairly substantial 280g bag which contains about thirty-three praline mini eggs of three different types. The...

Green & Blacks Organic Dark Chocolate Easter Egg

If you're looking for an organic dark chocolate Easter egg then give this one from Green & Blacks a try as its great value and taste taste pretty good - although its less bitter than I remember.

Pierre Hermé Tablette Chocolat Noir Pure Origine Venezuela Porcelana

If you're looking for an intense bar of dark chocolate then give this Pierre Herme 70% Porcelana a miss as its subtle beyond belief. It may be fruity, but there's not much else going on.

The Chocolate Café Crème Caramel Milk Chocolate Bar

If you wanted something broody and bitter then obviously this Crème Caramel Milk Chocolate Bar from Chocolate Café won't be the right choice. But if you needed a sweet pick-me-up then this bar would be perfect for you.
