For raw chocolate this bar is actually very good. I could consume it the same quantities as real chocolate. The superfood angle is best left for people qualified in the subject, but I can certainly expect it to be healthier than milk or white chocolate.
For me to like raw chocolate it mustn't taste like raw chocolate. Although there was the very slightest ammonia edge to it, I still very much enjoyed it. The goji berries were a touch extreme, but it'd be nice to try it with other inclusions.
Single origin fine chocolate should have bags of flavour, it should take you on a merry dance, it should surprise you and excite you. This bar didn't. The flavour was almost anonymous!
This is my first bar I've tried from Pierre Marcolini and comes from the Alto Piura region of northern Peru. The aroma was sensational whilst the flavour had decent honey notes but was a touch dry.
What a journey it has been for Katie with her wonderful Matcha Chocolat company. One year from inception she's created a much broader selection of ganaches that won't dissapoint.
This Patrick Roger 75% Dark Chocolate From Peru dark chocolate bar was a huge dissapointment and nothing compared to his other bars. I might just have had a bad one, so if you've had it and it was good then please let me know.
