The Cadbury‘s Doubler Decker isn’t really in the same category as much much of the great chocolate I’ve reviewed recently such as the Pink Charbonnel et Walker Champagne Truffles or the Valrhona Dark Chocolate, bit it serves a purpose. And that is to give you a quick chocolate fix with some energy giving nougatine and crunchy filling stuff at a really low cost. In fact I got this one from Handy Candy for just 59p.
Its difficult to wax lyrical about a Double Decker, it really is. All I can say is that its extremely sweet and just as filling. If I was on a long car journey or about to go on a hike I may fill up with on of these to keep my concentration going or give me the stamina to complete the journey. I wouldn’t buy one to enjoy whilst watching a film.
The chocolate is barely noticeable as its largely over-powered by the nougatine. The aroma is of the distinct Cadbury chocolate smell and that’s about it. Buy it if you’re hungry, don’t buy a Cadbury’s Double Decker for its taste.
