Cadbury Dairy Milk Snack

Cadbury chocolate bars certainly aren’t for the health conscious or chocolate connoisseurs. But they do offer is the ability to give you a chocolate fix with a variety of chocolate flavours. This Cadbury Dairy Milk Snack is from New Zealand (courtesy of Sanza) and has six chunks and each has a different flavour: Coconut ice, orange, pineapple, strawberry, Turkish Delight and caramel.

One thing I do absolutely love is that each section is designed in a way to indicate what the filling is – this is so cool. Now the problem that I have is that anyone that’s had a tin of Cadbury Roses at Christmas would know that its often the sweets with fruit fillings that are left at the end as no-one likes them. This bar is full of “unwanted” chocolate sweets. I dare anyone to enjoy the pineapple one – I’m sure its enough to give you a sugar rush just looking at it.

And that brings me to the nutritional information. Each 55g bar has 1100kj and a staggering 30.2g of sugars (58.54%) as 7.6g of saturated fat (13.8%). But I’m sure you wouldn’t have this if you were on a diet anyway. I just make sure that I didn’t put this in my kid’s lunchbox every day (if I had any) as it surely wouldn’t be good for them.

Rating:
Taste: 30% – way too sweet for me, but I’m sure many of you would love to try it
Texture: 30% – very sweet but the Turkish Delight piece was enjoyable.
Price: 20% – at £1.45 its very expensive for what you get. But I’m sure many expats would crave it.
Overall: 26.66%
If this Cadbury Dairy Milk Snack was a song it would be: “Sugar” by System of a Down.
