Amatller Ghana 85% Dark Chocolate Bar

If anyone saw the Jonathan Ross show the other night where he mentioned “mini crises”, well you’re sure to have one of those if you nibbled on a bit of this Amatller Ghana Single Origin 85% Dark Chocolate Bar – it was absolutely delicious!

The packaging was exquisite, even the plastic wrapper and the design on the chocolate bar itself was fantastic – it really sets you up for a few minutes of chocolate heaven.

The aroma is very rustic and did remind me of the organic chocolate from Divine as it had that slight farmyard tone to it. The flavour, however was beautiful and crisp. There was a touch of grittiness, but that should be expected when the bar is 85% cocoa.

I’m so in love with this bar that I’m tempted to hide it from everyone else. However, I’ll donate the rest to friends and family and buy myself some more from The Chocolate Connoisseur for the very respectable price of £1.99.

Rating:
Taste: 90% – I just loved it and was in the mood for some great dark chocolate
Texture: 85% – beautifully crisp
Price: 90% – you really can’t beat the price!
