Heidi Blake from the Telegraph has reported that just 20g of this new chocolate a day can help prevent wrinkles by hydrating the skin and improving elasticity.
The chocolate made at the chocolate company Barry Callebaut has its flavonol antioxidants preserved instead of being lost in normal chocolate manufacture. These flavonols attract free radicals that enter the system via pollution, caffeine, lack of sleep and smoking which they assert accelerate the ageing process.
To my mind there’s not enough conclusive proof of the benefits of chocolate on the skin. From my own experience if I review chocolate and the touch my skin I get spots. This has more to do with the oils in some chocolate and my sensitive pores.
